We have an immediate need for a Product Owner to join our Product Management team to develop valuable additions to our growing suite of products. You will be working closely with Engineering and Experience teams to define and ensure the success of our products.

  • Work with the wider Product Management teams to understand customer needs, clearly articulate the problem from a customer and business perspective and envision new product solutions.
  • Collaborate within your Cross Functional Team to build and deliver high quality software and market leading user experiences, which solve customer needs and market problems.
  • Own and facilitate the refinement of requirements into epics and user stories for the development teams to implement.
  • Own and maintain the backlog for the area you are working in and ensure it is continuously prioritized.
  • Work efficiently to plan projects and continuously stay ahead of the needs of the development team.
  • Plan work for Engineering which balances urgent customer needs and strategic roadmap priorities.
  • Lead workshops to define KPIs and success metrics for new feature and product launches.
  • Communicate your product vision and strategy to the wider teams.
  • Coordinate communication across teams (e.g. Product Management, Engineering and Experience) and provide status updates on projects.
  • Use data to inform decision-making and uncover new product opportunities for Verizon Connect.
  • Assist with product documentation during the Go-to-Market process for new features.
  • Assist with other Product Management responsibilities as needed.
  • Provide support to Solution Engineers, Customer Support, App Support, Training and Sales teams.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in Engineering, UX, Product Management and the wider business to ensure successful build and market launch.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and needs to the leadership team.
  • Monitor the direction of the fleet management industry.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, science, information systems or related field or relevant work experience.
  • Experience as Product Owner or Business Analyst in a technical environment with successful track record of leading and delivering strategic projects.
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.
  • Knowledge of modern software development technologies and languages.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills paired with a data driven approach.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience presenting to senior leaders and stakeholders from external teams.
  • Experience working with Engineering and UX functions as well as the wider Customer facing organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Experience working in the Telematics or IOT industry.
  • Experience working with mobile applications and analytics (reports, dashboards, scorecards.)
