What you’ll be doing...

The Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Manager role will be responsible for leading an integrated Marketing program across Digital Marketing and the Central Marketing Organization. You will lead the design of the marketing strategies, process and plans relative to launches, campaigns, promotions and products. You’ll own strategic agency briefings, internal communication of campaign progress to all stakeholders, Go-To Market (GTM) kickoff and drive timing and flawless execution.

You’ll plan, manage, execute and report on multi-channel campaigns that increase brand awareness, drive demand and provide customer insight that inform strategic direction. You will have the authority and independence to ensure that requirements, communication opportunities and risks of the various objectives are identified, managed and completed in a timely fashion in order to achieve on time completion of the program and its phases.

  • Determining what people really want.
  • Testing out new ideas.
  • Determining the upside and downside of the next thing.
  • Telling us what the market says.
  • Creating the story for our customers.
  • Helping sellers tell the story of why this and why Verizon.
  • Executing strategic planning of marketing initiatives.
  • Serving as a single point of contact (POC) for the Business Unit (BU) and CM Organizations.
  • Managing communication priorities for Verizon.
  • Executing integrated marketing processes.
  • Collaborating with segment marketing leads to define campaign objectives and establish strategic briefs.
  • Partnering with internal teams (creative, media, research, insights, competitive intelligence, go to market, PR, AR, events, legal) to refine campaign needs and finalize briefing needs.
  • Writing strategic briefs for multiple products and lines of business, targeting multiple audiences from working team to executive level overviews.
  • Gaining alignment for all projects with established strategies and keeping team members informed.

What we’re looking for...

You are curious about what people need and want. You enjoy digging through data for insight into opportunities for how we can help our consumers work, play and connect in new and better ways.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Marketing, Market Research, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Experience working with marketing research, research strategy, or consumer research methodologies.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree – better if you have an MBA.
  • Digital experience of trends and key business drivers.
  • Presented findings and insights targeted to what that audience cares about (up to the executive level).
  • Analyzed what’s important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities.
  • Balanced multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Designed custom research approaches to gain broader or deeper consumer and market insights.
  • Translated market knowledge and strategy into compelling stories and tools for the sales team.
