What you’ll be doing...

The Principal Engineer will provide Day 2 operations for integrated IoT solutions and customers that includes the integration of end-point devices, Linux hosts, Cradlepoint Wireless routers, and management from within a hosted SaaS/PaaS. You will partner with third-party field services and Internal Verizon support teams to deliver a comprehensive support solution.

  • Managing incidents and solutions through internal case management and change management tooling
  • Educating customers in Cradlepoint best-practices.
  • Helping to facilitate training with internal resources and customers.
  • Engaging with multiple internal departments (R&D, Sales, Sales Engineering).
  • Technical writing such as:documenting solutions, writing technical articles, and developing training materials.
  • Continuing professional development by staying current on the latest innovations and trends in all areas of information technology.
  • Recommending enhancements to Cradlepoint Products and Services.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of authentication, monitoring, and alerting systems(AD, RADIUS/TACACS+, SNMP managers, Sev1).
  • Experience with Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu), TCP networking, and network security concepts.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Ability to communicate through documentation as well as knowledge transfer to peers.
  • Ability to diagnose device connectivity to hosts, local storage, and integration with management platforms.
  • Experience with Cradlepoint Netcloud Manager for LTE/5G WIFI.
  • Experience with Dockers/Containers.
  • Experience integrating with cloud service providers(AWS/Azure).
  • Experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages like Ansible, Python.
  • Ability to divide and conquer problems, communicate clearly, work within a structured change environment.
  • Ability to work with limited direction.
