What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Java Architect with a proven record in medium to highly complex projects,architecting new systems and delivery. You are a digital dreamer; however, people leadership and management are equally important for this job.

  • Managing medium to highly complex projects, architecting new systems, establishing infrastructure standards/processes for IT teams and making sure teams adhere to the standards, maintain technical diagrams and documentation, Infrastructure/ Architecture design, Configuration and implementation, leading and guiding other team members and responsible for monitoring all production and non-production systems.
  • Responsible for high level architectural design, analysis, implementation and working closely with offshore resources to assign tasks, track progress, sort out any issues and coordinate between offshore and onshore parties and also Infosys team.
  • Meet with customers and understand & define system requirements /issues and offer solutions that are architecturally sound without negatively impacting the existing architecture.
  • Interact with the delivery teams to fully understand their needs and determine the proper implementation manner and restrictions that should be placed upon the teams.
  • Document all the architecture related changes and work with security to get approvals and also build strong relationships with the security teams, Infra teams, application users, and program owners.
  • Reviewing the internal standards, processes and procedures and keeping them up to date with the changing business/IT requirements and needs.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and involved in developing plans with key stakeholders, tech leads and KPIs, define requirements, identify risks, create mitigation plans.
  • Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevOps processes and tools.
  • Quickly and efficiently troubleshoot issues in order to provide outstanding support for customers.
  • Determine root cause and implement permanent resolutions for more intricate issues.
  • Research and analyze continuous integration and development needs for systems and platforms.
  • Adopt and identify areas for process and efficiency improvements within the portfolio.
  • Recommend solutions and assist in overseeing implementation using established best business practices and guidelines
  • Work with IT Security and manage application security scans/assessments, security testing, vulnerability remediation and perform code reviews to improve security, network and software architecture and improve security posture of portfolio by engaging with security teams in appropriate technical discussions, continuous enhancement of existing methodologies, processes and procedures.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Hands-on development experience in Web/Mobile based Content Management Systems (Drupal 7/8/9), Java & J2EE Frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Reactive, Javascript Frameworks Angular 8/ReactJS, Node JS and Bots, AI/ML, Cloud Technologies (IaaS/PaaS), Serverless, DevOps CI/CD, Application Security, REST Web Services and Microservice Architecture.
  • Experience in Cloud technologies as Solutions architect, Serverless architecture, containerization using docker, Kubernetes deployments and developing or maintaining Web and Mobile applications using public/private cloud platforms like AWS, GCP and Pivotal Cloud.
  • Technical experience in Core AWS Services, using DevOps tools , Security practices, scripting tools, Node.js, Scala/Java, iOS, Android OS, Windows Mobile and web services.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engg, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Cloud Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Developer Associate, SysOps.
  • Other Certification: Certified Java Professional (SCJP).
  • Experience in understanding business problems and create scalable, durable and maintainable solutions based on a combination of existing and emerging technologies while balancing human resource and financial constraints within timelines that meet business requirements.
  • Experience in cloud technologies such as architecting, developing or maintaining cloud solutions in public cloud environments.
  • Knowledge in existing HR Space applications, Web based technologies like Java J2EE Microservices, Content management Systems (Drupal), AI/ML, bots, Redis caching, Cloud technologies, Dockers, Kubernetes and infrastructure Orchestration tools as well as an ability to recognize opportunities to match forward-looking technical solutions to business problems.
  • Knowledge of one of the Scripting tools - Python, pHp, Perl, Ruby, Shell scripting, Powershell scripting or GoCD.
  • Experience using Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Postgres, Mongo DB, Cassandra.
  • Experience in application security tools: Fortify, BlackDuck, RASP/DAST.
  • Log aggregation tools experience (ELK, Splunk, Datadog) / APM instrumentation (Wily,Dynatrace).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and Devops Tools like JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, Splunk, Rundeck, Ansible, ELK, ZABBIX, Grafana. Experience with Cloud based infrastructure in public, private or Hybrid clouds (AWS, OpenStack, CloudFoundr) and experience with core AWS services.
