What you’ll be doing...

The Enterprise Architecture group is seeking a Lead Technical Architect to play a critical, client-facing role that interacts with multiple application teams with the goal of creating the next generation architecture for Verizon business group.

  • Overall VBG Architecture for wireline enterprise products (like PIP, VOIP etc.) and creating solution architecture documents that are simple, scalable and sustainable and above all secure.
  • Ensure solution aligns with all Verizon units and Enterprise Architecture guidelines with specific focus on Level 1 and 2 architectures.
  • Create and develop High Level Designs leveraging various methodologies, review designs with stakeholders to get buy-in and deliver it to development teams to create detailed design artifacts.
  • Design and develop a reference implementation for an enterprise scale architecture that can assist development teams across multiple organizations.
  • Work with vendors to evaluate new products, and research and recommend the optimal solutions (Ex. Chat Bots, RPA, PEGA, Cloud, Salesforce etc.) for a vast variety of projects.
  • Be engaged in driving large E2E solutions for new initiatives impacting customer experience in Enterprise, Public Sector (Federal & SLED), Wholesale, Business Market and Wireless B2B stacks.
  • Design and implement high performing, secure interfaces between disparate channels while maintaining a fully functional and seamless user experience.
  • Work as a solution architect on multiple smaller scale projects , create secure/agile architecture solutions for the given business requirement.
  • Facilitate collaboration sessions and ensure consistency and alignment across Enterprise from both a technical and process alignment perspective.

What we’re looking for...

You have the ability to quickly code and implement conceptual proofs in support of Architectural solutions. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master's degree.
  • Experience in Telecom Industry Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience in the Public Sector (Federal & SLED).
  • Experience creating system and process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, inter and intra system dependencies within the functional domain and across them.
  • Experience with CLIN management.
  • Expert in niche next gen domain areas such as 5G slicing, o-RAN, ONAP, SD WAN ,VNS.
  • Knowledge of programming stacks, emerging technologies and tools, PEGA, Salesforce, RPA, Chat Bots, AI and ML, ETL tools, Data Lakes, Hadoop, JavaScript, React.
  • Experience in Enterprise Technology architecture and with deeper expertise in one or more of the domains from Experience, API, Data, AIML and Cloud.
  • Knowledge Of FUSF (Federal Universal Service Fee) and identify FUSF should be applied to SLED billing.
  • Experience of wireline and wireless SLED program & contracts, ability to develop complex legacy billing platforms.
  • Experience in defining and driving Cloud migration and strategy.
  • Domain knowledge MEC, Closed assurance, Kubernetes & Dockers.
  • Experience business intelligence technologies, Data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Wireless B2B, VES, VPS, VBM organizations.
