What you’ll be doing...

This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2021.

Our network engineering team keeps us ahead of the competition. As anRFEngineer, you’ll be redesigning mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of network to ensure performance fixes and initiatives are in place. You’ll play a key role in making sure our customers continue to enjoy the crystal-clear connections and outstanding call performance that we’re known for.

  • Working with Capacity and System Performance to identify and kick off new search areas for cell sites, and walk candidate locations, approve site locations and createRFsite designs.
  • Identifying and designing capacity solutions including new sites, carrier ads, and optimization projects.
  • Releasing designs and support them through the project lifecycle including: design, drawing reviews, EME analysis, and regulatory submissions (FCC and EME).
  • Proactively looking for areas to improve overall network performance, and provide technical leadership through analysis, troubleshooting and training of market and regional engineers as needed.
  • Coordinating with various groups including Capacity, SP Engineering, and Operations, etc. to design and successfully deploy network improvement solutions.
  • Prioritizing multiple high-visibility projects and drive decisions and resolutions for unique problems that may not have existing/complete solutions.
  • Optimizing5G, LTE and RAN Networks using traditional and innovative means.
  • Reviewing all aspects ofjobfunctions and recommend new procedures, programs, or test tools to enable greaterjobproductivity.
  • Interfacing with PM, real estate, construction, switch/field operations, engineering, sales, marketing, finance and regulatory to ensure that our network quality and financial objectives are met.
  • Continuously improving the performance of voice and data wireless networks.
  • Taking ownership of projects and identify new processes to improve efficiencies and optimize network performance.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Must be a current participant of Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2021.
  • Experience inRFdesign and/or optimization.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Two or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of LTE including VoLTE and RAN Networks.
  • Knowledge of 5G-NR standards.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP LTE and 5G standards including VoLTE.
  • Experience working in Atoll propagation tool.
  • Experience with EME analysis tools such as Roof Master.
  • Knowledge of mapping software such as MapInfo, Google Earth, ArcGIS, and Topo.
  • Knowledge of propagation modeling software such as Atoll.
  • Knowledge of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
  • Experience with Model Tuning.
  • Strong statistical and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation
