What you’ll be doing...

The Benelux Associate Director Enterprise Sales will act as the leader of Verizon’s overall business relationship in the Benelux with 1104 defined clients and other nominated strategic engagements. You will be responsible for developing and executing an overall client business plan to seventy million dollar annual revenue to achieve Verizon’s client objectives and nurture senior executive and board level relationships as required for plan delivery. You will build trust and credibility at all levels within the client and internally at Verizon and thereby identify business client priorities and ensuring Verizon Business Group (VBG) has a key role in achieving them. You will be responsible for shaping and driving all opportunities to a successful conclusion.

You will serve as the leader for Verizon Enterprise Solutions’ Benelux team within the EMEA region. This will involve overseeing, guiding and supporting a team of 3 Sales Managers and 13 sales professionals. The team will craft technology solutions that bring together the right elements from the Verizon portfolio for their clients. When your team solves the toughest problems for our clients, you’ll be helping drive our business and theirs.

The Associate Director works with solutions architects and business analysts to identify and shape business issues and strategies and then drive overall solution definition and specification, utilising and co-ordinating all specialist resources as needed, always ensuring the solution optimises the clients objectives and business needs as well as those of Verizon and its partners as required.

  • Leading, developing, and motivating a sales team.
  • Forecasting and developing quotas and strategy for the team.
  • Monitoring progress against goals, anticipating resource requirements, and planning work for your team.
  • Coaching the team on articulating the business value of our solutions and cultivating deep business relationships with executives within client organizations.
  • Ensuring ongoing development of your team, through training and targeted assignments.
  • Hosting and distributed server environments.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience selling technology based solutions into multinational businesses at C-level.
  • Experience carrying both a team and individual quota.
  • Experience leading a team of sales professionals.
  • Experience that has involved both organizational and process design.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring individual contributors.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe up to 50% or less.
  • A valid Driver’s License.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree qualified.
  • Experience driving major transformation initiatives within large, international businesses.
  • Ability to develop global solutions and see these through to successful delivery.
  • A consistent record of driving a team towards achievement of quota whilst also meeting individual targets.
  • Large out-tasking and outsourcing deal leadership.
  • Experience in customer business case development based on TCO/RoI/ROCE techniques.
  • The ability to speak an additional European language alongside English.
