What you’ll be doing...

  • Manage the interface and collaboration across multiple business units and implement annual performance objectives that preserve, strengthen and transform Global Technology Solutions across Verizon.
  • Collaborate extensively with team members and executive management to advance the Global Technology Transformation Strategy in order to support organizational growth and business priorities.
  • Ensures the operations team has everything needed for daily success, e.g. coaching, technical tools, aligned business partnerships, procedures and training.
  • Leads a team and drives escalations and quick resolutions.
  • Manages the integration of multiple complex projects that require operational support once placed into production.
  • Reviews and evaluates infrastructure change controls for accuracy and inclusion of key information as well as potential operational impact.
  • Provides detailed delivery plans, manage post-mortem follow-up on critical outages and translating technical information for the executive management team.
  • Evaluates, recommends and implements mitigation strategies and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Meet regularly with team members and complete annual performance and development plans.
  • Provide related budget detail and project expenses to management and business customers.
  • Continually look for and execute on opportunities to drive costs out the business and innovate with technology and automation.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in application networking, network security, packet captures, and network performance analysis and advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience in public cloud experience with Amazon, Google, Oracle and Azure
  • Experience with a focus on Cisco and Citrix ADC technology.
  • Experience managing a team of employees.

Even better if you have:

  • CCNA and/or CCNP, CISSP, AWS certification.
  • Working knowledge of Security Threat Management concepts and applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage remote staff.
  • Command of emerging technologies and how they interact with the existing Data and UC networks.
  • Experience in escalation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to research and develop solutions
  • Experience with large enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry, competitors and evolving technologies.
