What you’ll be doing...

Verizon has built a culture of innovation, reliability, and teamwork. Verizon rewards employees for individual performance and is looking for someone to join the Automation team of Global Network Management. As a member of this team, you will contribute to a highly motivated, insightful, and supportive group responsible for building and maintaining tools to achieve end-to-end performance and high availability of the network. The Team takes great pride and ownership of the health of the network by identifying areas to improve the customer experience, implementing improved workflow efficiencies/automation, and providing excellent support to many other groups within the company.

  • Developing and maintaining user-facing features and capabilities for the service portal.
  • Build reusable code and libraries on both JavaScript and Python environments.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and requirements.
  • Optimizing the current and upcoming development and deployment to be ready to host it on a microservice platform.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to achieve a high level of production.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree of four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • BS in Computer Science or similar relevant field.
  • Knowledge of web markup, including HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap frameworks
  • Knowledge of the client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
  • Knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of the restful APIs and SQL databases.
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
