What you’ll be doing...

This role is a blend of marketing, consulting, and adaptive modeling. The Analytics Principal is an integral part of the Prepaid PEGA decisioning team within prepaid CRM team tasked with developing analytical processes designed to deliver high-quality insights that enable Verizon to improve how marketing campaigns impact business results and helping with PEGA’s prioritization algorithm to implement Next Best Action strategy. You will work closely with CRM team, PEGA decisioning team, and external partners to proactively develop and manage end to end analytic solution. The end goal is to ensure strategic and tactical marketing decisions are informed by data-driven insights.

  • Manage, guide and build day-to-day analytics processes including activities such as data identification & collection, analytics design, marketing mix model development, implementation & maintenance of new analytic approaches, interpretation of findings, and coordination marketing and PEGA dev teams.
  • Support Prepaid CRM team by building analytics and reporting to understand overall campaign performance and increase organizational efficiencies and provide strategic guidance to improve campaigns based on performance KPIs.
  • Work in close collaboration with Marketing Effectiveness team members and other internal partners to leverage expertise in data management, advanced marketing mix modeling, scoring etc., in order to develop key insights.
  • Interact directly with business team to consult, solicit business rules, design, and build data driven solutions to address the business challenges.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and interpretation of advanced multi-factor experiments to evolve testing approaches.
  • Present complex statistical concepts and research results to the non-statistical audience.
  • Continually broaden and strengthen knowledge of analytical methods and tools.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in applying statistical ideas and methods to data sets to answer business problems.
  • Experience with visual science / dashboard design principles.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, or economics.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar visual analysis tool, optimization, analytics and large data sets, project management, developing visually compelling interactive dashboards.
  • Good understanding of database concepts (Oracle, MS SQL, generic SQL, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse and data lake technology (Teradata, Hadoop).
  • Good understanding of third party analytic tools.
  • Experience with general purpose programming languages (Java, .Net, Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Experience with shell scripting tools in Windows, Linux/Unix.
  • Experience with data aggregating tools such as SPLUNK.
  • Experience in PEGA Next best action strategy.
