We are looking to grow our team with talented computer vision engineers who has the passion to solve tough problems in the areas of Object Recognition, Augmented Reality and Image Processing, by working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

As a pioneer in the 5G technology, Verizon's goal is to drive innovation, serve as an industry catalyst and change the world by driving low latency compute needs to 5G edge network. To support and encourage the adaptation of edge compute, we offer an efficient and cost effective 5G edge compute platform, providing micro services for deploying and processing of compute pay loads to our partners and 3rd party developers.

  • Creating next generation mobile edge based computer vision platforms.
  • Responsible for robust integration of different sub systems that constitute the vision platform and validation/testing of end to end functionality
  • Working a substantial portion of “hands-on” and an individual able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Supporting management with time critical demos
  • Designing, implementing, testing, and documenting computer vision based systems in C/C++/Python for mobile and cloud platforms.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Ten or more years of experience in software engineering and five or more years of experience in developing deep learning based computer vision systems.
  • Work experience with development of systems that heavily uses deep learning for object recognition and tracking.
  • Four or more years of experience with using TensorFlow, Caffe, Darknet, YOLO and Keras.
  • Experience solving complex CV problems using deep learning using variety of networks.
  • Experience in following programming languages: C, C++ and Python.
  • Experience with OpenCV and CUDA.
  • Experience with using GPUs for accelerated compute.
  • Experience with development and deployment with Linux based systems.
  • Proficient in OOAD principles and must have applied those concepts in various projects.
  • Strong knowledge of source code management using GitHub or BitBucket.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
