What you’ll be doing...

The Digital Marketing Center of Excellence at Verizon is hiring a Digital Analytics Consultant to play a key role in making Google Analytics a key part of Verizon's analytical success. In this role, you will leverage deep experience in data analysis and data mining to tell us why our Organic Search numbers are doing what they're doing. You will manage the implementation of Google Analytics, manage users, create views, develop funnels, create goals, and be the key point of contact for Google Analytics. You will develop dashboards and create insights-based reports from the data available in order to allow us to better understand where users come from, what they do on our websites, and what we can do better.

  • Understanding business objectives and developing analytical solutions that help achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress.
  • Data mining, analyzing data, and developing analytical models using best-practices-based methods and state-of-the-art tools.
  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
  • Performing various exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, insights, and develop strategies.
  • Mapping Google Analytics and Search Console APIs to Google Data Studio.
  • Creating reports from Adobe Analytics.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience doing website traffic analysis, with emphasis on Organic Search (SEO) traffic.
  • Google Analytics certification.
  • Experience in running exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and data mining.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Expertise in Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience with SQL, writing queries, and reporting.
  • Knowledge in Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, and their APIs.
  • Experience with SEO tools, such as aHrefs, Botify, Similarweb, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Ability to run automated jobs to manipulate and store data via APIs for Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.
  • Experience working with very large data sets.
  • Solid scripting and programming skills with Python, R, etc., with hands-on experience.
