What you’ll be doing...

The primary purpose of the Global Principal-Solutions is to engage in long to medium range client opportunity development activity in alignment with the Global Integration Solutions (GIS) target market. You will be responsible for the cultivation, development and qualification of large scale client transformation opportunities that directly contribute to the global GIS pipeline. You will follow a structured opportunity development framework and governance programme to deliver consistent and predictable outcomes. This strategic leadership role will see you collaborating with clients, third party organisations and a broad range of internal Verizon stakeholders in order to co-create the large and transformational opportunities that are vital to our future growth strategy.

  • Identify, explore and develop GIS client target market segmentation
  • Asses market direction, potential and postures for GIS targets
  • Direct client marketing strategies and campaign activities
  • Mentor pre-sales teams in best practice GIS opportunity development
  • Direct long to medium term client positioning strategy
  • Analysis and prioritisation of suspect client opportunities based on market intelligence and trigger information
  • Preparation and structured handover of client opportunities to GIS pursuit teams
  • Coordination and development of business relationships with third party sourcing consultants

NY/NJ are the preferred locations but other locations would be considered if necessary. This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

This is primarily a customer facing solution sales role, and as such you will require excellent relationship management skills and a proven track record in developing trusted business relationships with decision makers up to boardroom/C level.
You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience.
  • Five or more years of prior experience in transformational Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) solution selling.
  • Experience in transformational ICT sales; software defined networking, unified communications, managed network services, cloud services and digital security.
  • Experience in developing relationships and generating qualified opportunities.
  • Social selling and networking experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Strong executive management and leadership skills with a proven track record in managing large and geographically distributed teams.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and client facing skills.
  • Highly developed analytical skills.
  • An advanced understanding of business development lifecycles and associated best practice methodologies.
