What you’ll be doing...

You will be part of Verizon Business Group which supports the Enterprise Customers. You will play a critical part in enabling key programs for Wireline/wireless Enterprise customers. You will collaborate with teams to deliver strategic programs end to end for Verizon Enterprise Customer segment. You will also be getting an opportunity to work on transformation programs.

  • Managing application stability and business continuity of multiple applications in 24X7 environment.
  • Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time, providing and end-to-end problem resolution.
  • Implementing automation & monitoring tools like NewRelic, Catch Point, APM and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) using Jenkins, Jira, GitHub and Ansible.
  • Interacting with Dev/QA teams to identify RCA and re-instrument triggers to prevent future network degradation and outages.
  • Cultivating an SRE culture of getting feedback to ensure that teams and individuals are collaborative, purposeful, and high performing.
  • Onboarding applications onto SRE Framework, work towards improving SLO’s and enhancing customer experience.
  • Assessing middleware fix packs, security patches and advice management of any impacts and remediation effort.
  • Working on designing/implementing/automation procedures for deployment, configuration, patching and upgrading of systems and applications.
  • Writing and Maintaing scripts to monitor application/system activity using the latest toolsets Troubleshoot/Debug issues (RCA - Tickets/Crisis Events) to meet defined SLA.
  • Managing all release work and code deployments thru Change Management Process.
  • Collaborating with multiple teams in order to uncover, analyze, and resolve client issues.

What we’re looking for...

We are looking for a TechOps Engineer with knowledge on AWS & OCI Cloud, SRE, AIOPs, NewRelic and DevOps tools.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • One or more years of experience as a DevOps/AIOps/SRE Engineer.
  • Four or more years of relevant years of experience in Weblogic Admin, UNIX, Webservers, CloudOps, Synthetic Monitoring, ELK, Splunk.
  • One or more years of experience with monitoring tools like NewRelic, Catchpoint and other APM tools.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • DevOps experience or familiarity with application deployments through change management and the CI/CD process using Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, GitHub.
  • Experience identifying and automating routine tasks to improve productivity and stability of supporting applications using Jenkins, shell Scripting and Ansible.
  • Experience with Middleware web and Application servers WebLogic, WAS, JBOSS/Web Services, Apache and IIS.
