What you’ll be doing...

Our customers are undergoing transformational change, adapting to a technology revolution, allied with unparalleled economic and social pressures. Our industry and competitive landscape is also changing in equal measure. A Verizon sales professional needs to expertly lead through this change and bring to bear innovation that delivers differentiated and tangible business outcomes to our Customers.

In this role you'll be responsible for generating sales to companies that have fewer than 400 total fleet vehicles within their territory as well as identifying new prospects in the market through cold calling and networking. You will develop a broad understanding and application of principles, theories, and concepts in the sales job family. You'll work on assignments of varying complexity requiring conceptualization, reasoning, and interpretation. Under general guidance and within established procedures, you'll close sales and quickly increase your contributions to projects requiring design and research and analysis with limited management oversight.

  • Generating and prospecting sales accounts which will be supported by inbound activity and Business Development activity.
  • Presenting product capabilities through web-based demonstrations established by the Business or your own appointments.
  • Prioritizing activity and sales pipeline to achieve goals with an emphasis on managing personal time, productivity, and accurate forecasting.
  • Following up on proposals and negotiating contracts with prospective customers in collaboration with the Managing Partner.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients from initial contact through the initial sale.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of all services offered by Verizon Connect and awareness of the competition (e.g., market share, pricing, services offered).
  • Completing all required documentation, reporting, forecasting, bids, and proposals within assigned territory using Salesforce.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in B2B inside sales.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline.
  • Strong territory and contact management skills.
  • Strong consultative and solution selling skills.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS and Cloud Computing.
  • Experience selling software solutions.
