What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager position will be responsible for end to end delivery of digital service and support applications spread across consumer portfolio influencing the choices and experiences of Verizon customers in performing various transactions. The leader will be responsible for building a highly motivated and talented team, coaching and mentoring them to deliver high quality products and services. The leader will partner with US Teams, business units to establish goals, influence and effectively communicate the vision set by Senior GTS leadership.

  • Responsible to define, develop and enhance the mobile and web platform/application architecture to support seamless integration (plug and play) of various Verizon consumer products and services.
  • Lead the platform implementation and provide reusable components/framework for various application teams in the Organization to develop their features/functions rapidly and support consistent offerings to customers.
  • Contribute to the vision and high-level technical solutions spanning technology and business.
  • Drive a best practices approach to the continuous improvement of our Application/Product, Processes and Tools.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, implementation of new technologies to maximize the development efficiency.
  • Promote/Lead/Guide the Web and Hybrid App development using ReactJS and Spring Reactive architecture.
  • Promote/Lead/Guide the next generation implementation including Hyper Personalization and Interactive/Immersive on both Web and App platforms.
  • Responsible for delivering mobile and web applications in consumer portfolio which are widely used by Verizon customers for performing device health check solutions and various self-serve/sales transactions.
  • Reinforce teams to follow best practices for Mobile and Web application development and automated unit testing.
  • Improve Application performance, rating and NPS.
  • Transforming digital system/application platform to be Cloud-Native w/ Microservices Architectures.
  • Meet public cloud migration timelines and manage the cost of running your applications in the cloud
  • Drive Mobile and Web application security: Set the standards/process to ensure Application security and ensure team follows religiously.
  • Support and participation in various worldwide mobile conferences and workshops, road shows covering new cutting edge mobile solutions.
  • Drive Innovative culture in the team and create innovative mobile solutions which can improve customer experience.
  • Identify and support opportunities to increase digital adoption and engagement.
  • Partner with various stakeholders to bring more self service functions on mobile apps.
  • Work with product teams on Integration, Prototypes, and New Product Ideas

What we’re looking for...

You have strong verbal and written communication skills and can communicate at all levels of the organization including senior management.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor`s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of hands on experience in developing and designing mobile and Web applications/platforms.
  • Experience designing sustainable and scalable platform/framework which compliments reusable components, interfaces, design patterns that can be leveraged across different applications.
  • Experience in managing large enterprise scale digital applications and thorough understanding of complete development life cycle.
  • Experience with mobile application life cycle management for Google and Apple application stores.
  • Knowledge of developing rich digital application by integrating AR/VR, IOT, Wearable Tech, Digital Assistants, etc.
  • Good application knowledge on AWS or Google Cloud, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience delivering innovative and cutting edge digital solutions, designing and architecting highly scalable and robust enterprise level digital applications.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top10 for Web and Mobile applications.
  • Experience in troubleshooting & supporting mission-critical 24X7 production systems, lead real-time high stake risk mitigation plan and drive timely decisions.
  • Experience in partnering with Business and IT teams at multiple levels to drive alignment and delivery of complex problems.
  • People management experience, including leadership of diverse global teams. Experience leading senior talent, mentoring and coaching large teams
  • Industry recognitions, patents & papers, participation in standards/ professional bodies.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience migrating web applications to be Cloud native apps
  • Knowledge and experience on device diagnostics, mobile device management, remote management and embedded services.
  • Knowledge in dealing/addressing the device & firmware specific issues/features.
