What you’ll be doing...

As Senior Manager – Board and Executive Relations, you will be responsible for driving Board, Executive and Financial relations on behalf of our Chairman and CEO.

  • In this role, you will help to advance the business by proactively building high-impact communications and engagement opportunities that support the Chairman and CEO in interactions with the Board of Directors, Investor Community and Leadership Team. Your focus will be driving our growth narrative and results. You’ll work directly with the Chief of Staff to deliver the below on behalf of Verizon’s Chairman and CEO.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Board Materials and reporting.
  • Earnings Materials.
  • Board Relations (eg. Board Dinners and Events).
  • VLC prep.
  • Select media and engagement opportunities as they relate to the key stakeholders we serve.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience of consulting, investor relations, financial communications, corporate communications experience or related field.
  • Experience in financial and investor relations.
  • Project and program management experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience developing high-level communications.
  • Knowledge of global markets.
  • Experience working with all levels of management, including senior executives.
  • Ability to understand why technology matters for customers and tell that story.
  • Ability to understand why financials matters for customers and tell that story.
  • Ability to plan and execute complex projects both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, decision making and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively while maintaining great flexibility and accuracy.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills.
