What you’ll be doing...

Verizon’s Supply Chain Services is transforming the Global Strategic Sourcing Group and seeks a dynamic professional who is interested in joining our team. This position will play a lead role in supporting Verizon's Device Marketing and Promotions businesses by supporting and enabling the teams to achieve the strategic and financial objectives of the business and the Strategic Sourcing group.
Reporting to the Governance and Operations Manager, a key aspect of the role is the management of multiple time-sensitive complex projects, and effectively interfacing and communicating with all levels of management. Working across Device Marketing, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain organizations, identify, assess and communicate opportunities to optimize the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), defining broad roadmap for execution and benefit realisation

  • With the Governance and Operations Manager, proactively engage and ascertain cross functional leadership support on key projects.
  • Design and lead E2E process and growth programs, including development of financial and efficiency benefits, measuring, reporting and monitoring results against plan.
  • Proactively anticipate and address risks, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration throughout.
  • Be an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques.
  • Develop executive reporting on projects, including realised benefit, metrics, issues, and risks.
  • Liaise and partner with Device Marketing, Promotions and Strategic Sourcing teams to identify and deliver process alignment and efficiencies across device marketing and promotions categories.
  • Lead the development of process documentation including establishing procedures to ensure processes are kept current and adhere to service level agreements.
  • Build processes and playbooks to be leveraged across all device categories.
  • Continuously seek to optimize E2E processes where possible.
  • Facilitate and support the risk management process.
  • Support the Governance and Operations Manager with audits; develop and implement actions to address findings; establish governance and monitoring where required.
  • Participate in other compliance efforts related to the Device Marketing and wider Sourcing organization.
  • Assist Governance and Operations Manager with communications including executive reporting, project management and other business activities.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, HR, Supply Chain or Procurement or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in large OEM and/or Mobile company.
  • Experience in a fast paced dynamic International environment.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Strategic Sourcing functions, business operations and process.
  • Experience of working in a tier-1 management consulting organization.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience evaluating strategy and operational processes, identifying gaps and opportunities, and redesigning processes.
  • Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
  • Experience of working in the Consumer/Retail space within the Financial Services, Telecom
  • Highly effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and organizational agility
  • Strong analytical and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, establish realistic timelines/milestones and achieve results while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of management including Senior Leaders.
