What you’ll be doing...

You would be part of the Fraud and Security Testing team in Verizon Consumer Group (VCG) and Verizon Business Group(VBG) and would be playing the role of an Engr III-Security Engrgin VCG portfolio.

Primarily responsible for Business Logic fraud Testing of VCG and B2B Applications with the SME Knowledge of it. Expert Application Functional testing , API Testing across Different Customer Interacting Channels like Web/Portal, App, Web Services, Direct/Indirect Stores, Voice Portals

  • As part of Fraud & Security Testing role, you will be primarily responsible for identifying the Undetected Weakness in our Process, Policies, Business Logic and Coding Practices
  • Strong thought process to enhance Fraud Prevention and Detection Controls Testing
  • Understand wireless/wireline business landscape to determine and arrive at fraud motives
  • Carving out Fraud validation scenarios with focus on end to end testing / fraud journey
  • Ability to think from a hacker’s perspective and should identify the attack vector with ease
  • Strong Wireless E2E testing knowledge on application architecture.
  • Ability to differentiate between a customer vs Fraud Journey and determine abuse cases for every motive
  • Leverage social engineering and/or methodologies to simulate social engineering techniques for data harvesting
  • Look at industry breaches and refine / redefine testing approach
  • Leverage basic tools to monitor secure flow of data across systems
  • Work with the software development team, IT Security Stakeholders in supporting the Fraud and Security Programs
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining information security standards, procedures, and guidelines
  • Provides technical guidance and training to information owners and IT associates for the assigned areas.
  • Executing and Implementing "Fraud and security best-practices", policies, practices, and technologies to secure the software and business processes.
  • Supporting the Gap analysis of security against relevant industry and regulatory standards and identification of solutions.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of Application Functional Testing SME preferably Wireless Applications and understands the Wireless business thoroughly
  • Two or more years of experience in Testing Fraud Detection & Fraud Prevention Controls.
  • One Professional Certification in Customer experience, Security Engineering, Defensive Operations, Security Architecture and Security Analysis like CEH, CSSLP, CISA, CCSP etc
  • Ability to create Complex Test Scenarios to detect the undetected weakness which potentially leads to Fraud.
  • Awareness of security testing methodology OWASP.
  • Application Logs (Kibana log, Grafana dashboard) validations for cross channel Fraud investigations.
  • Experience in testing Digital Web / App applications with thorough understanding of Wireless/Wireline Telecom domain.
  • Fraud Testing and consistently evaluate the Fraud and security needs according to policy, best practice, precedent, and business needs. Capable of solving complex technical problems both independently and in a team environment.

Even better if you have

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in Documenting solutions and architectures. Design and prototyping of security tools, workarounds, and systems.
  • Experience in various web/mobile app architectures.
  • Two Years of Experience in Developing Fraud Detection and Prevention AI/ML Models
  • Experience in threat modeling practices into the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Application development or Manual / Automation Testing experience.
