What you’ll be doing...

  • Design, build and deploy next-generation scalable applications and services for cloud media processing and delivery.
  • Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to develop cloud native services and solutions.
  • Own and drive features and services from concept and requirements to deployment.
  • Proactively communicate your ideas, proposals, questions and solutions.
  • Seek opportunities to innovate, experiment and prototype on new ideas.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Good engineering experience in video delivery at large scale.
  • Programming and environments (ex. Python, Go, C/C++, Java, Node.js).
  • Experience with WebRTC, HLS/DASH, RTMP, MPEG-TS, H.264, H.265, VP8/9 or AV1 transports, containers and codecs.
  • Cloud platforms (ex. AWS, GCP, Azure) and common features (ex. S3, EC2, ALB, IAM, Lambda)
  • Experience with streaming servers such as Wowzaor Red5.
  • Experience with tools such as FFmpeg, GStreamer, VLAN and Wireshark.
  • Experience with CI/CD and writing unit, functional, and integration tests.
  • Experience working with distributed systems in production.

Even better if you have:

  • Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Audio and/or video fundamentals and encoding methods.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, debugging and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to mentor other engineers, review code and recommend process changes to improve the engineering organization.
  • Ability to design and build video systems at scale and help guide technical architecture discussions.
