What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for engineering and maintaining features and components across our analytics systems which provide data to both web and mobile applications in our award winning SAAS Fleet Management products. You'll work as part of a cross-functional squad using agile methodologies to bring good things to our customers and stakeholders quickly (and then act on their feedback to make them even better).

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements e.g. automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery performance, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘Big Data’ technologies.
• Build analytics tools and features that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights and key performance indicators for our customers and internal stakeholders
• Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain the codebase to a high standard

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant discipline
• Four or more years of relevant work experience
• Experience writing automated unit and end-to-end tests
• Experience with Mercurial or other revision control systems
• Experience working with relational databases (Snowflake, SQL Server, Postgres etc)

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience with ETL/ELT
• Knowledge of Kimball Dimensional Modeling
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of the .Net ecosystem (Framework and Core) and C#
• Familiarity with Javascript and Node.js
• Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action
• Ability to comprehend complex business and technical scenarios.
• Demonstrated delivery of major projects with a focus on quality and productivity in a continuous integration/delivery environment
• Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation.
