What you’ll be doing...

Accountable for managing an inside sales team who handle public sector accounts. Innovate and elevate the front-line sales team by identifying new sales strategies to drive YOY results. Develop and implement an activity management strategy to drive behaviors that will lead to incremental growth. Coach and develop ISRs within the Inside Sales team to meet/exceed revenue attainment and performance standards. Implement and evaluate sales strategies to exceed departmental recurring billed revenue, revenue growth and performance standards. Provide ongoing assessment of ISR knowledge, skills and competencies. Implement action plans to ensure the ISRs have quality sales, strong funnel and customer service skills. Practice a high level of operational execution to ensure the team has adequate knowledge of the right tools and processes that will help them be successful.

Direct, coach and evaluate the work activities of ISR in pursuit of corporate goals; recurring billed revenue target, quota attainment, customer service, module and funnel management. Each ISR handles inbound/outbound calls based on Campaigns/Leads. Implements and evaluates sales strategies to exceed departmental KPI's, revenue growth and performance standards.

Actively works with Marketing and key suppliers to understand and modify product and service offerings to meet customer needs. Ensure communication flows effectively between internal departments and product line management. Partners with Human Resources to recruit, interview and hire qualified ISR. Oversee the execution of self-training plan and responsible to adhere and adjust the plan to maintain current performance needs. External and internal customer communication requirements includes handling escalations and minimizing the number of client escalations.

  • Develop customer contacts and measures, and audits both individual and overall group results in terms of sales, leads, territory planning, and customer relationship management.
  • Coach and support employees involved in complex selling situations to help them develop and implement strategies resulting in attainment of sales objectives and meeting/exceeding customer requirements. Focus is primarily on retaining and upselling the existing customer base in alignment with strategic product migration.
  • Implement action plans to ensure the ISR have quality sales, account territory planning and customer service skills.
  • Identify personal areas for growth and development, and access training or development experiences to address growth areas.
  • Meet weekly with employees to provide one on one coaching.
  • Conduct Weekly funnel calls with ISR manage performance opportunities and performance manage all contributors to ensure we have a consistent cadence of the full team executing to activity and results targets.
  • Coach and develop a team of ISR.
  • Provide ongoing assessment of ISR knowledge, skills and competencies.
  • Coach to increase ISR business competencies and product and application knowledge focusing on integrated voice, data, LD, IP network, Cloud, Security and CPE solutions to moderate/high value medium business market customers via telephone based selling and ensure employees use skills and competencies to generate revenue and provide customer satisfaction.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Sales management experience within telecommunications.
  • Experience managing and influencing client relationships at the senior executive level.
  • Balanced multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment, in combination with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of various forms of technology – intermediate to advanced user of MS applications, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and internal application.

Even better if you have:

  • Six years wireless experience in B2B or Public Sector sales related role, preferably inside sales.
  • Working with or selling directly to government customers.
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving results in a complex, distributed organization and of providing complex, multi-departmental, IT, or Telecom services to government clients.
  • Balanced multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
