What you’ll be doing...

The purpose of the Verizon Connect Revenue Operations organization is to maximize profitability while creating great customer and employee experiences by implementing industry leading tools and processes in novel ways. The team is divided into four distinct functions: Systems Architecture, Portfolio Management, Programmatic Vendor Management, and Global Standardization.
The Center of Excellence Consultant will be responsible for intaking issues from Sales and either resolving them directly as an end-to-end subject matter expert, or routing those issues to the appropriate counterpart organization. The Center of Excellence will maintain industry best practices and SLA’s. When Sales has an issue, they will open a Sales Operations Case to their primary support team (Field Operations or Sales Velocity depending on the request). If primary support cannot resolve the issue, they will pass the case to the Center of Excellence Consultant.

  • If the request requires a known technical workaround, handle it directly.
  • If the request requires licensing, handle it directly.
  • If the request requires new functionality from one of the Systems Architecture vendors, escalate the case to the Vendor Manager as a well documented enhancement complete with user stories for development.
  • If the request requires an enhancement from Systems Architecture, escalate the case to the appropriate Architect as a well documented enhancement complete with user stories for development.
  • If the request in new functionality in Salesforce, SuperLibra, or SAP, escalate the case to the Portfolio team as a well documented enhancement complete with user stories, and a business case put together with the submitting parties for prioritization and development.
  • If the request is an access issue or other GTS issue, redirect the case submitter to the appropriate GTS channel.
  • Maintaining reporting around common themes that arise through the Sales Operations Case queue so that strategies can be developed to actively resolve those trends.
  • Occasionally participate in user acceptance testing or regression testing to maintain their understanding of new functionality and also to ensure that previous functionality does not break.

What we’re looking for...

Someone with Technical knowledge of Salesforce, SAP and its integration systems and with ability to communicate well with other departments. You are able to quickly jump on global issues and prioritize it over other incoming request.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Strong technical acumen and experience architecting Sales Enablement tools and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends for sales tools and database strategies.
  • General Knowledge of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, & Slides).
  • Experience with Salesforce as a user.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Subject matter expertise in a large variety of additional software applications as well as the business acumen required to apply them to business problems.
  • Salesforce Administrator or Greater.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make large business impacting decisions confidently.
  • Familiarity with the Agile framework.
  • Ability to quickly identify root causes of problems and act on those problems in an effective and complete manner.
  • Overall understanding of SaaS business processes and experience in implementing solutions to gaps from a technical and/or project management perspective.
  • Ability to see the big picture and potential risks of interaction between systems.
