What you’ll be doing...

We are connecting businesses with their field teams and their fleet of cars in our cutting-edge Verizon Connect group—improving efficiency and enhancing service levels for our business customers. You’ll be managing strategic analysis with a focus on Go to Market Strategic analysis that will ultimately drive the strategic direction of the Connect Business. You’ll bring together strategic analysis of our competitors across geographic regions to inform strategic decision making. Verizon Connect is looking for a Go To Market Strategic Planner to join our Business Operations organization. Primary purpose of the capital allocation strategic planner is to support the Sr. Manager with strategic analysis. The Go To Market Strategic Planner will understand the operational objectives and corporate strategy and align them with the Go To Market Strategies.

The GTM Strategic Planner will understand market trends in the Go to Market in Telematics and adjacent industries to inform strategic direction. The customer service strategic planner will analyze the current and future product roadmap and the Go To Market strategies associated with them to recommend how the customer service space would need to change. They will advise on the readiness of the business with respect to the GTM strategies to achieve the North Star.

This is a hybrid position, the expecation is to work out of one of our main offices once a week.

  • Understand market trends in the GTM for Telematics and adjacent industries to inform strategic direction. Identify initiatives and prepare proposals that align the GTM organization with NorthStar and committed strategies.
  • Collaborate and partner with marketing and sales teams to drive the execution of short(1-3 year), mid and longer-term strategy.
  • Create listening systems to ensure the right business challenges are identified and addressed.
  • Understand what investments need to be made to address the GTM issues connected with achieving the North Star for VZ Connect
  • Lead communications with key stakeholders and broader audiences across the Go to Market teams.
  • Build, maintain, update and optimize dashboards to monitor programs.
  • Analyze the current and future product roadmap and the Go To Market strategies associated with them to recommend how the customer service space would need to change.
  • Provide forward-looking insights and propose recommendations.
  • Participate in scenario planning and the annual planning process.

You move fast and you don’t settle for the status quo, always on the hunt for the next big thing. Adept at multitasking, with great attention to detail. You are comfortable with multiple aspects of a business, including product, operations, and strategy. You can paint a high resolution picture about what we want to accomplish over the coming years, and can shape the plan that gets us there.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Managed large complex projects involving multiple work streams and stakeholders.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assimilate a broad range of data, analyzing, and distinctly packaging the information to a variety of audiences, including executive management.
  • Knowledge of strategic frameworks and good research skills.
  • Ability to understand the corporate business strategies and apply to the business.
  • GTM Strategy and/or Business Transformation background.
  • Strategic thinking and vision.
  • Relationship building skills that result in a strong network.
  • Ability to advance ideas through different levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively across operating units effectively influencing others.
