What you’ll be doing...

You will support the Payroll processing activities relating to Work Forward Taxation. You will perform analytical audits of the Payroll Tax reports to ensure both aspects of timeliness and accuracy are achieved in processing all employee payments.

You will also support testing for system upgrades, enhancements, and changes, where needed, as they are developed in the due course of business activities, interacting on a regular basis with internal HR, IT, Benefits, Finance, Audit, Legal, and Labor Relations.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the processes they support, having a complete understanding of the process, and how this process integrates with the overall end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Perform detailed verification, review and preparation of payroll tax deduction updates as required from daily pay change registers or manual updates. Defined processing timeline schedules must be achieved to ensure the timely and accurate recording of all employee transactions.
  • Support all customer service channel activities, including cases, and ensure regular updates are maintained as it relates to processes, changes and/or announcements to assist in maintaining up-to-date information available to both employees and staff.
  • Identify the need for special ad-hoc queries to assist in completing appropriateness review of fluctuation deviations from standard processing flow or expected results.
  • Interact within the Payroll Support and Control teams to discuss change enhancements to existing system processes.
  • Act as the first line of communication supporting high priority and escalated customer service matters.
  • Work with various team members to assist in training activities and provide assistance in developing process documentation.
  • Seek out continuous process efficiencies or improvements, and soliciting team input and participation.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of Payroll Tax/Multi-state experience.
  • Telecommunicating Taxation experience.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in Customer Service/HRMS/Payroll Processing/Timekeeping system applications.

Even better if you have:

  • Understanding of the end-to-end Payroll functional processes as well as how the Payroll functional processes integrate with the overall end-to-end Payroll Tax processes.
  • Three or more years of experience in Customer Service/HRMS/Payroll Processing/Timekeeping system applications.
  • Experience with 3rd party tax applications, i.e. ADP, CIC+.
  • HCM PeopleSoft and/or Workday experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills (both verbal and written).
  • Good organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency, proactive approach, and a solid focus on results.
  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Willingness for flexible scheduling to meet processing demands.
  • CPP or FPC preferred.
