What you’ll be doing...

As a Mgr-Sys Engrg of the Customer Experience Platform, you’ll be working across the Verizon Consumer Organization that includes teams from SOE (Systems of Engagement - Both Assisted & Digital), SOI(Systems of Insights), SOR (Systems of Record) & Tech Ops delivering Sprints every month towards business requirements and platform (technology) modernization. CXP is the Omni experience enablement platform for the Verizon Consumer Wireless group by standing up a new technology stack in order to provide a frictionless Omni experience across various channels of engagement.

CXP team is looking for a Mgr-Sys Engrg in building scalable platforms, re architect platforms for better performance, bring in TM forum standards in building solutions/platforms at scale for the CXP Platform - Verizon Consumer Group and in effectively managing time to market, cost, scale, and customer experience while leveraging the latest technology stack and in owning various KPIs specific to the VCG.

  • Develop strong understanding of the VCG ecosystem - SOE, CXP, SOI, SOR & TechOps and understand the Consumer wireless business and key metrics to lead and drive the NSA Programs
  • People management - Engage, & empower the team (10 to 14 employees) and mentor them and deliver work on time.
  • Vendor management - Collaborating with vendors on delivery to be executed out of ODC.
  • Point of contact for delivery, solutions and technical problems for the CXP.
  • Enable & drive platform fortification processes to build a scalable, efficient and agile system catering to the needs of the various channels of engagement.
  • Work with business owners across the organization to understand business requirements and align to the organization priorities and execute them seamlessly with proactive planning.
  • Demonstrate skills in understanding business needs and priorities in setting and managing the design/architecture guidelines, streamlining the architecture governance process and implementing them towards cleaner architectures and sound in Java & Cloud stack.
  • Exhibit critical thinking and problem solving skills and develop strong business acumen and organizational skills.Track & drive KPI targets and identify opportunities of improvement and execute them.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have..

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in Java based technology stack
  • Two or more years of experience in in Spring Boot Microservices, Spring Reactive framework, GraphQL, Cassandra, AWS, Kubernetes & EKS, ELK Stack.
  • Two or more years of experience in DevSecOps with cloud experience.
  • Experience with AWS & EFK.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, GraphQL & Spring reactive services.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong, analytical ability to quickly debug application problems and provide short and long term solutions.
  • Demonstrated history in dealing with Java based systems at enterprise level.
  • Ability to interact and communicate successfully with business partners and technology teams.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and projects.
