What you’ll be doing...

This entry-level role – which is part of the Verizon Campus Program – will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm. You’ll be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive. You will put your degree to use and gain experience in a new field through on-the-job training. As part of the Global Network & Technologyorganization, you will help keep our customers all over the world connected with their work.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Apply a broad awareness of surveillance techniques to monitor a variety of data types across global networks and report out on customer impact.
  • Perform triage, fault isolation, and remediation of Verizon Wireless’ voice and data network events.
  • Manage and communicate network outages in a timely and effective manner to external teams.
  • Partner with automation teams to analyze current processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Identify system constraints and limitations, recommend solutions to enhance overall performance for NMC engineers via automation.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and in good academic standing to be considered.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

You’ll need to have:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Science and Mechanics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Cyber Security, Data Science or related majors with an expected completion date by August 2022.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
