What you’ll be doing...

Our team is hiring a Hardware Program Manager to join our Skyward strategy team. You’ll be working in an exciting startup environment within the foundation of a large company (Verizon). You will have the freedom and autonomy to do your best work, with the support and camaraderie you need to enjoy your job. In this role you will be contributing to the future of connected aviation.

You will work closely with internal and external teams to lead an emerging sector of our business! You will work with cross-functional teams to manage and refine our hardware strategy, sales and fulfillment. You will also oversee the full life-cycle of our hardware sales process, including managing customer hardware orders and ensuring that fulfillment and returns occur in an accurate and timely manner. You will work closely with multiple Skyward functions and vendors to recommend optimum hardware products and quantities to be stocked.

You will also be responsible for implementing and refining a scalable process for handling orders on a more automated basis. This will involve coordinating multiple systems that span Skyward sales, support, and finance, along with third-party systems (e.g., OEMs and logistics providers).

You are a self-starter, a creative and innovative thinker with strong attention to detail, and have an ability to see the big picture and influence others. Talking to people comes very naturally to you and you have an ability to communicate and present complex information in a way that people understand – whether verbal or written.

  • Maintain hardware systems (vendor, sales, tracking, stocking etc.)
  • Document, maintain, and disseminate program information to stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to make projections for future hardware needs.

  • Interact with Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Success, Support, Professional Services, Finance, Corporate Systems, Vendors, OEMs, and partners to define and deliver hardware related processes and procedures.
  • Identify requirements for streamlining and automating the current ordering process.
  • Make recommendations on how to better integrate the ordering systems.
  • Conduct process reviews across departments for improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee implementation of system enhancements.
  • Develop training and change management for new systems/processes.
  • Collect current and anticipated hardware requirements from across Skyward.
  • Conduct analysis to determine which products should be added to the Skyward catalog and at what stocking levels.
  • Develop processes and supporting artifacts to enable a more rapid expansion of the Skyward partnership ecosystem.
