What you’ll be doing...
Azure Cloud and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) engineer at Verizon focuses on the design and implementation of cloud-based computing systems and the solutions that take advantage of this edge based platform. In this customer facing role, you will serve as a primary technical engineer to architect, design and implement for Verizon’s MEC customers. You’ll provide guidance and thought leadership regarding problem solving to solve customer problems utilizing Verizon solutions. You’ll operate in a matrix structure and be part of a team of professional services consultants, project managers, architects and engineers. These resources could be dedicated to a particular project or shared across multiple projects.
You will use excellent communication skills to interact with others as we develop the system plans and technical architectures for our customers. You must have a clear understanding of the needs of Verizon, and our customers and how MEC services will be best used so that jointly we will develop a system that will meet customer needs. You will produce documentation outlining the design of customer systems and be prepared to implement those systems on the edge platform. You will be a cloud and MEC subject matter expert and will perform hands-on design and DevOps functions.
