What you’ll be doing...

This internship position – which is part of the Verizon Campus Program – will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You’ll be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within Verizon’s Marketing Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.

In this role, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Help distinguish Verizon’s financial and corporate communications from competitors.
  • Play an integral part in earnings; participate in 360 planning, creation, and execution for key financial announcements and events.
  • Work closely with the ESG team to communicate the company’s positive strides in becoming a more sustainable and just organization to key stakeholders.
  • Support the Cross-Communications team’s Editorial and News planning activities.
  • Analyze and interpret data to make recommendations on best-in-class marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare and report on findings and recommendations for various audiences.
  • Utilize your flawless spelling and grammar to execute on all projects, ensuring work is on-time, on-budget and on-strategy.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

You’ll need to have:

  • Current enrollment in an MBA program in Business, Business Strategy/Research, Internal Relations, Data Analytics, Communications, or related major with an expected completion date between December 2022 and June 2023.
  • Four or more years of experience in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, or Internal Relations.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Even better if you have:

  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in school, project work, or extra-curricular activities or clubs.
  • Commitment to excellence, anticipating issues and communicating with tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated experience with leveraging research, data analytics, and brand insights.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and ability to maintain deadlines consistently.
  • Demonstrated skills for business success, including project management, problem-solving and the ability to diagnose and meet business demands.
