Verizon’s Corporate Strategy organization holds a key role in helping shape this new path. We challenge ourselves to solve top-of mind strategic questions, collaborating with leadership and experts across the organization. We can do so by leveraging the multi-faceted background of our team consisting of former management consultants, financial services professionals, data scientists and technology experts. We are responsible for challenging the status quo, looking beyond the horizon, and making the future real, role-modeling the new Verizon 2.0 way of working that builds on customer centricity, collaboration and innovation to drive positive change.
You’ll be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Corporate Strategy team that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.


As a Corporate Strategy MBA Intern, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Grow, and proactively manage relationships with key strategic alliance partners and inspire and influence them to partner with VLT.
  • Identify ways to maximize value for both parties; develop further engagement plans to achieve long-term partner goals.
  • Be the subject matter expert and champion for our partners, educating them on our platform, landscape and how it fits with their organization.
  • Create VLT visibility and traction within all levels of partner organizations. Collaborate cross-functionally within VLT.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

The compensation range for this position is between $38-$40/hour. The salary will vary depending on your role and class year.

You’ll need to have:

  • Current enrollment in a MBA degree program in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or related major with an expected completion date between December 2022 and June 2023.
  • Four years or more experience in Strategic Planning, Partner Management, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work in Denver, CO.


Even better if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience or deep interest in telecom, high-tech, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, financial acumen, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, relationship management and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills in combination with knowledge of SQL and scripting/statistical programming languages (Python, R, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving, team environment.
