The Robotics Business Technology group is expanding its team and we are looking for a highly motivated personality as Senior Software Developer Business Logic / Backend to join our engineering team. You’ll be working in an exciting startup environment within the foundation of a large company.   • Work collaboratively within incubed ITs engineering team to design, develop, and implement product offerings that enable a fleet of robots to perform tasks alone and collaboratively in an optimized manner.
  • Participate in a collaborative agile team environment and build features that meet customer requirements.
  • Help incubed IT encourage best practices in an incredibly innovative industry.
  • Work with different robotics platforms.
  • Develop the fleet management server and logic layers for autonomous, intelligent, and cooperative mobile robots.
  • Develop analytic tools and services surrounding the core robotics services.
  • Implement requirements as a member of an agile team, in cooperation with our customers.
  • Create testable, well documented solutions; participate in peer reviews.
  • Participate in agile practices such as standups, estimating, prioritization and retrospectives.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming in Java, Databases and microservice related technologies (Spring Boot, Quarkus, mqtt, jUnit)
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to accept new challenges, assist in troubleshooting issues.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's Degree or relevant work experience.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Ability to embrace change and work in a fast paced, iterative environment.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
  • Basic C++ and Python knowledge, as well as experience with Git, Docker, ROS.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Capability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of various factors.
  • Ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • A strong sense of urgency and bias to action - able to think on your feet.

For this position, the minimum gross salary based on the Austriancollective agreement amounts to 2,556.00 per month. The actualsalary is based on the candidate’s qualification and experience and willbe negotiated.
