What you’ll be doing...

You will be part of Verizon Consumer Group.

  • Supporting the mobile suite of applications that are running on Linux platforms.
  • Primarily you will be focusing on system Availability, Stability and Reliability and will be setting-up pro-active monitoring and investigate current monitoring that are in place and address the gaps, if any.
  • Working on AWS environment like creating/managing EC2's/Load balancer and other AWS services, setting up CICD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Working and concentrating on planning change requests and implement them without any issues.
  • Initiating and managing crisis bridges by coordinating with different interfacing teams.
  • Exploring new open source technologies that will help us to increase our availability.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Experience in working on AWS infrastructure.
  • Experience in middleware like WebLogic/WebSphere/Apache/Tomcat.
  • Experience in working on Kubernetes.
  • Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Knowledge on Security tools and technologies like Fortify, SonarQube while actively resolving threats and vulnerabilities.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree.
  • Knowledge on EKS.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge on SRE (Site Reliability Engineering).
  • Certification on AWS.
  • Certification on Kubernetes.
