What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for the audit and payment of Right-of-Way (ROW) invoices that includes Verizon's short and long-term vendor leases for ROW, conduit, pole attachments, franchise agreements, and railroad crossings that traverse the Continental U.S. You will frequently work with the contract managers and do independent review of contractual terms to audit and determine accurate payment amounts, and possible vendor disputes. Good communication skills are a must for both internal, vendor, and customer communications. To be successful in this position, you must possess good organizational skills, and be able to work independently in a results oriented environment. Familiarity with telecom contracts and contract interpretation skills, is a plus.

  • Performing monthly audits on payments, reconciliations, and accruals and reporting analysis to manager.
  • Performing detailed analysis and ad hoc reporting for daily operations.
  • Balancing payments with contract terms, rates, and transactional data.
  • Providing financial analysis support to various internal teams.
  • Managing the flow of transactional data to billing and resolve issues as required.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll be detail-oriented and analytical, and enjoy getting to the root cause of issues. Working with others on continuous operational improvement will be a key driver for you to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and deliver results for the business. You’ll also have strong verbal and written communication skills.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of accounting or relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Computer Science.
  • Experience in SQL coding and/or other complex data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
