What you’ll be doing...

The Supply Chain Quality Management team is looking for a self-driven individual to perform various quality audits, end to end process reviews, Gage R+R studies, and drive continuous improvement throughout our third party Clean and Screen and logistics partners.


The role will ultimately be responsible for driving a quality culture throughout our supply chain. You will be responsible for ensuring all supplier processes are in line with Verizon requirements, and that personnel is performing their job functions as specified. The function will require significant interaction with a variety of teams including supplier associates and management, Supply Chain Quality colleagues, Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Planning, and National Operations Staff.
You will positively impact Supply Chain metrics such as Returns and Repair, NTF, bounce rate etc. Scope is to significantly improve OEM and 3PL process and product quality.

  • Become a subject matter expert in supplier processes including receiving, warehousing, clean and screen, refurbishment, out of warranty repair and data process flows.
  • Develop a best in class quality process audit methodology.
  • Develop RAN operations to leverage FIOS best in class processes while taking FIOS to next level of maturity.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to drive quality metrics and reduce total cost to the business.
  • Develop methodology for performing Gage Repeatability and Reliability studies that maximizes test quality but has minimal production impact.
  • Drive a data centric mentality in regards to process quality.
  • Partner with supplier to establish a joint supplier scorecards that identifies and tracks KPIs.
  • Be self-motivated and have ability to work independently to accomplish goals and tasks.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis on process issues that arise and drive Corrective Action Reports.
  • Support all initiatives and projects relevant to Reverse 2.0.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in performing Quality Audits and Process Engineering preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with Home Networking, Fiber Optics products, and RAN.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
  • Experience with VZ provisioning systems and other related IT sources.
  • Basic understanding of hardware concepts.
  • Experience with data analysis, Tableau, and Minitab.
  • Ability to use test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, MPEG analyzers, oscilloscope, RF signal meters.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in active optical components.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Good understanding of verification test plans, test execution, results collaboration and bug reporting.
  • ASQ Quality Certifications including CQA, CQE, CQI, CQIA or CQPA.
  • Six-Sigma or equivalent, specifically knowledge on Lean Process Improvement, 5S, Pareto principle/analysis, RRCA, Fishbone diagram, 5x Why’s, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, and PDCA activities.
