What you’ll be doing...

This internship position – which is part of the Verizon Campus Program – will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You’ll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Global Network & Technology Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.

As a Network Engineering Intern, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Work on Bot creation and integration into the Slack platform to bring efficiency automation to the different support teams (Care, NRB, NMC, and IT).
  • Develop tools to efficiently track hierarchy of all circuits used by ASP/Messaging teams and its waterfall connectivity to all the services.
  • Participate in software engineering of virtual applications via automation tools.
  • Work on budget coordination and International UT Planning Coordination.
  • Partner with the team on Network automation tools development, data analytics, data processing for Machine Learning and AI application development with network data.
  • Work on projects tied to and supporting radio frequency, ATOLL updates, completing RFDS and review of CD construction drawings.
  • Assist the team in reaching POR goals for new site builds, 5G MODS and property management.
  • Work on system performance duties, monitor new 4G & 5G sites on air for performance.
  • Test throughput on newly activated sites.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

You’ll need to have:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science and Mechanics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Cyber Security, Data Science or related major with an expected completion date between December 2022 and June 2024.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work in Branchburg, NJ.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience using Python.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Understanding of Networking and Cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills.
