What you’ll be doing...

This role is part of our Network Enablement team within Verizon's Artificial Intelligence and Data (AI&D)center of excellence and is responsible for program and project coordination and support across multiple groups within Global Network and Technology (GN&T). We are tasked with bringing innovative AI/ML solutions to the business units that allow them to enable efficiencies.

The Artificial Intelligence and Data (AI&D) organization focuses on delivering the power of data and AI to drive our marketplace leadership through innovative solutions that create value for our customers, shareholders, V Teamers, and society; responsibly.

You'll use your analytics expertise to enhance our customer experience by ensuring best-in-class network quality, increasing efficiency, and predicting and preventing network issues. You'llpartner with the business to understand problems and develop actionable insights and solutions to solve them.

Most projects start with descriptive analytics to rapidly answer and visualize the who, what, when, where, why, and how types of questions. You’ll then move into deeper statistical analysis and visualization. Our work is less about research and development, and more about solving actual business problems with data science methodologies

All of our work is worked cross-functionally, hand in hand with the business partners, domain experts, partner teams, and each piece is well documented along the way. Regular reviews of use cases occur with leadership, which requires using data to tell the story of importance, priority, value, and benefit.

  • Partnering with others across the business to build proof of concepts, prototypes, machine learning models, and new approaches for analyzing network and consumer behavior.
  • Designing experiments to confirm our assumptions, answer our questions, and drive business change.
  • Designing creative approaches using data analytic and AI/ML techniques to uncover the most valuable opportunities for cost and time-savings.
  • Consulting and communicating with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders on insights, trends, and data-driven recommendations and solutions.
  • Partnering with our AI&D peers to develop and deploy business-relevant insights and solutions.
  • Finding ways to improve customer experience by developing statistical models, utilities, and code.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience analyzing and validating large data sets.
  • Experience with applied statistics.
  • Experience developing visually compelling and interactive dashboards.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar visual analysis tools.
  • Experience with SQL and Python.
  • Willingnes to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in VBG, VCG, or Network Operations.
  • Experience with Alteryx.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience developing machine learning models.
