What you’ll be doing...

The UAT Automation Engineer will be responsible for daily scripting and support within the VCG Digital Operations UAT team. You will be designing, programing (scripting), testing and executing Automated tests across our Digital, POS and CARE applications. This will include finding and detecting all production/UAT bugs across all digital consumer platforms, leading projects, daily reporting, prioritizing test case development, working with internal/external teams and vendors, creating roadmaps, defining standards and processes, performing POCs and listening to the customers. This position relies heavily on the ability to define, interpret, and integrate significant amounts of test data and turning it into strategic and relevant action items. You will need to be innovative, results-driven, and a team player with the ability to provide solution/resolution to complex business issues that impact results.

  • Daily development of new automated test cases along with maintenance of existing tests.
  • Lead planning and coordination of coverage areas and present of proposed solutions to gain consensus.
  • Executing thousands of automated tests, as well as manual testing where needed.
  • Strategically define the teams success criteria (KPIs) for all levels within the team.
  • Ensure all issues are properly reported and communicated out to the business leaders andstakeholders.
  • Partner with peer teams and set up proper in-take of work from inside/outside teams.
  • Assess and analyze improvement opportunities and develop solutions for closing gaps, eliminating redundancies and inconsistencies in all areas related to digital regression testing.
  • Partner with GTS, Digital operational teams, and others to define requirements for change and enhancements to current tools and reports.
  • Lead and provide input and guidance for the delivery of information to be used in the development of business cases.
  • Lead planning and coordination of coverage areas and present of proposed solutions to gain consensus.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years’ experience in Mobile App, Mobile Web testing.
  • Three or more years Wireless/Channel experience.
  • Experience with UAT processes.
  • Experience testing with IOS and Android OS.
  • Experience with JIRA tools.
  • Appium/Mobile testing experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Marketing or Business.
  • Expereince in Java scripting with Selenium web driver.
  • Knowledge and full understanding of the XPATH and object oriented programming.
  • Highly skilled in following good coding practices.
  • Good Knowledge of Digital environments for .Com and Mobile Native.
  • Custom Library development in java.
  • Expereince in Selenium.
  • High proficiency in using Eclipse or IntelliJ for scripting and code debugging.
  • Experience in JIRA and GIT version control.
  • Experience in Cloud based/in-house device lab – such as Perfecto/Mint/Saucelabs/SeeTest.
  • Knowledge of different Automation Frameworks.
  • Ability to execute, modify and enhance Selenium scripts as required for desktop/tablet and mobile applications.
  • Ability to architect Automation solutions, including well thought out execution plans.
  • Ability to manage, maintain and troubleshoot automated tests (solid debugging skills).
  • Ability to develop error handling and reporting methods.
  • Ability to work within a team of automation engineers, manual testers, developers, Project managers and architecture groups.
  • Knowledge of dynamic data – SQL at a high level.
  • Web protocol knowledge a must, other protocols such as .net, java will be helpfull.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt to new applications.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A strong desire for learning.
