What you’ll be doing...

  • Supporting Production (24X7) systems and non-prod systems.
  • Work in a very challenging production support environment and attend calls during off-hours, provide weekly on-call support.
  • Experience in Cloud support and migrations.
  • Efficiently carry out BAU (day to day) DBA responsibilities.
  • Work with various teams to build and foster good relationships.
  • Learning and implementing new technologies.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience to support on-premise and Cloud (OCI and AWS) 11G, 12C,18C and 19C Standalone and RAC/Exadata Oracle Databases, Oracle Goldengate, MYSQL database and Data streaming technologies/tools (like KAFKA)
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Thorough understanding of RMAN Backup and Recovery process, HA and DR solutions – RAC (GI, ASM).
  • Expertise in Oracle Goldengate, Physical Standby Database and Active Dataguard, Oracle Goldengate (OGG) – Active/passive (one-way), Active/Active Install, setup, config, troubleshooting, admin.
  • Expert in various Database migration scenarios, Database installs, upgrades, and patching.
  • Hands on experience of installing/supporting/troubleshooting MYSQL databases in production environments, Capacity Planning.
  • Ability to provide technical support to application development teams, Application DB release changes, Backout process and Physical Database design.
  • Understand Application architecture.
  • Well versed in Oracle Performance Tuning (P&T), Pro-active and Reactive database monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) (Synthetic Monitoring).
  • Troubleshooting Skills (process, scripts, commands) to quickly identify and resolve issues, Oracle Security, Audit and security compliance.
  • Understanding of Storage technologies and Networking, ITIL (Release Management, Change Management, Crisis Management, etc.
  • Hands on experience on Scripting (Shell, PL/SQL, Python).
  • Strong Linux/Unix skills, of DevOps, DB release automation for DevOps Oracle Support process, AWS RDS.
  • Experience with cloud automation AWS/Oracle certification, Terraform, Jenkins, Sourcetree, YAML.
  • MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Cassandra experience (as candidate will be supporting these databases besides Oracle databases.)
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, documentation skills and be a team player.
