What you’ll be doing...

  • Manage the accurate and timely filing of State and Local Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) Returns.
  • Ensure that the Team works with automation tools (e.g. Alteryx) to reduce redundant tasks by using innovative techniques such as Robotics & designing process flows.
  • Lead special projectsand analyze the impact to the tax filings as required.
  • Responsible for the oversight of various tax liability account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for cash forecasting and budgeting for the Team.
  • Partner with various teams including Tax Research, Tax Audit, Legal and Tax Exemption teams to insure proper documentation is obtained to support filing positions.
  • Partner with the business on various initiatives and provide tax support as needed.
  • Manage and adhere to all SOX controls with a focus on risk mitigation.
  • Assist on mergers and acquisition projects.
  • Oversee and analyze surcharges as they relate to the GRT filings.

Where you'll be working...
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degreeor four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years relevant work experience
  • Experience in the state and local tax compliance and regulations
  • Experience with compliance processes and indirect tax filings.

Even better if you have:

  • CPA or Master’s degree in taxation.
  • Experience with SAP, PeopleSoft or other accounting systems.
  • Tax research and audit experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.
