What you’ll be doing...

As a Senior Financial Analyst Commissions you’ll contribute to the delivery of Commissions services as an individual contributor working on analyses, trending, reporting, and testing in a specific area within Commissions. You’ll demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of compensation plans and policies or Agent contracts as well as a basic knowledge of incentive management, financial, accounting, and additional support systems.

The primary accountabilities associated with this position include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing compensation data and audit reports.
  • Responding to inquiries from the field regarding compensation and internal Commission inquiries.
  • Reconciling and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assisting management with complex compensation issues as necessary.
  • Demonstrating understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward the development of systems that enable process improvement.
  • Identifying any improvement opportunities and, if asked to, contributing to the design and implementation of new processes or procedures as a result of identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Constantly improving the processes associated with the systems (e.g., CCRS and dependent systems) and delivery of Commissions services to provide timely, accurate information and to ultimately safeguard Verizon assets.
  • Serving as a point of contact for assigned employees or Agents, and handle complex compensation inquires.
  • Providing support to all aspects of compensation.
  • Ensuring that any and all research, adjustments, analysis, and documentation related to compensation are in compliance with SOX, company policy, and Audit.
  • Analyzing and interpreting reports for managers, and providing recommendations to guide business decisions.
  • Undertaking complex projects and providing guidance on project related issues as needed.
  • Participating in User Acceptance Testing activities associated with new or modified systems to ensure systems are properly paying when enhancements/adjustments, new compensation plans, or new Agent contracts are implemented.

You think independently and analytically, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving, and evolving environment. You're a strong problem solver and are able to diagnose and meet business demands.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Query tool experience (e.g., SQL/Cognos).
  • Three or more years of finance, accounting, and/or finance operations related experience.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
  • Experience in a compensation-related field.
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge with compensation system, billing, and order entry systems.
  • Experience with Google Suite and Tableau.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
