What you’ll be doing...

  • Building immutable infrastructure in public cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc).
  • Leading, Architecting/designing and managing the development, automation, and orchestration within DevOps engineering.
  • Creating playbooks/scripts blueprints, and/or CICD workflows related to service deployments and automations.
  • Participating in devops tool analysis, creates proof of concept models, and makes recommendations to support the tools selection process
  • Building actionable metrics to measure the performance of the infrastructure tools, frameworks and other systems that support the entire engineering and release.
  • Ensuring uptime of the platform for end-users as well as development teams
  • Ensuring tool compliance to verizon security protocols
  • Ensuring to be curious, creative, and positive with a can-do approach. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently to deliver objectives on time.
  • Engaging with vendors on a regular basis to understand product upgrades and new features
  • Building intrinsic connect with user community and understand the business needs
  • Documenting technical queries planning activities, offshore coordination and building work plans.

Where you'll be working...
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in building/leading teams with DevOps Automation and CI/CD Pipeline Containers services like K8S/EKS
  • Knowledge of Testing tools like qTest, Jmeter, Selenium, etc for ease of integration into CICD pipeline
  • Experience with Devops tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, JIRA, Confluence, Sonar and configuration management tools Chef or Ansible etc
  • Experience in Linux Operating System
  • Experience in any of the scripting: Python DJango, Groovy,Node JS, React JS/Angular JS
  • Knowledge on concepts like Service Discovery, fault tolerance, Resilience, Auto scaling, Load balancing.
  • Experience in handling any of the databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL.
  • Experience in AWS Services (Lambda, Ec2, ELB, S3, EFS, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, Route53. ELB, Device form etc.
  • Knowledge of Logging infrastructure such as logstash, elasticsearch, kibana, or splunk.
  • Experience on SRE
  • Knowledge in SDLC practices and methodologies – Agile, Safe Agile.

Even better if you have

  • Experience in Monitoring/Alerting tools and platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Catchpoint, New Relic, etc
  • Knowledge of AWS Architecture or Operations Certifications would be an added advantage.
  • Experience operating infrastructure-as-a-service platforms such as AWS, Google Compute Engine, Azure, Soft Layer, etc.
  • Basic Understanding of NLU / NLP.
  • Problem solving abilities along with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in understanding Code Quality analysis tools like sonarqube, etc
  • AWS Certified Developer Certification
