What you’ll be doing...

As a Product Owner in the Cloud FinOps domain, you will bring considerable expertise to work with various teams for enterprise-wide transformations involving directional Cloud Service Providers . You will handle program functions leveraging Cloud FinOps operating model across various Cloud service providers engagements , skill transformation functions around Cloud and Technology Platform areas. The Position is an individual contributor role in the Cloud Governance Business Office (CGBO) within the Platforms Architecture Cloud & Tools (PACT) organization that is part of GTS Technology Strategy & Planning.

The individual will be responsible for oversight and coordination of various activities, develop product roadmaps and drive/deliver desired outcomes in engaging with various external Cloud Service providers, manage Cloud governance functions including spend transformation, compliance and skill transformations for the larger GTS workforce.

This position requires extensive collaboration and partnership with various PACT and other GTS internal organizations to execute on identified transformation opportunities which will include developing compelling business cases to create value, and advance our enterprise-wide stakeholder commitments.

  • Execute various solution areas leveraging the Cloud FinOps operating model around Cloud governance, spend management, migrations and modernizations as part of FinOps.Optmize phase.
  • Partner with various PACT’s Platform/ Architecture and Product teams , GTS Portfolios and external agencies including Cloud Service Providers to develop , implement, maintain various governance and product features as part of FinOps.Operate phase.
  • Assist Verizon GTS Portfolio teams in Cloud Service leverage of various platforms.
  • Coordinate/oversee various Cloud Service Provider Enablement activities working with various LOBs/Portfolios and external vendors.
  • Expand Cloud Knowledge management across multiple Cloud Service providers, as part of FinOps Inform phase.
  • Report/maintain program progression across all active workstreams by collecting and reporting KPIs across various Cloud FinOps activities.

You have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, appropriately balancing priorities and workload. You have proven knowledge and abilities in the principles of change management and process improvement.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelors’ degree.
  • One or more certifications: PMP / Agile Scrum Master / Certified Product Manager.
  • Certification in cloud management/migration in one or more of the following Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI etc.
  • Certification in Cloud FinOps.
  • Experience and knowledge on Cloud Platforms and concepts - one or more cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud & OCI.
  • Experience in Expense/financial planning/management and familiarity with the Cloud FinOps operating model.
  • Program or Product Management experience in managing/governing large Transformation efforts.
  • Experience in these Agile/Program Management functional areas including chartering, governance, project tracking, reporting and risk management.
  • Experience creating detailed program plans involving multiple organizations, multiple dependencies/timelines and ability to manage multiple projects to plan.
  • Six or more years demonstrated experience working on the transformation projects/programs identifying solutions that re-engineer or streamline processes, work practices and/or technology within a function or specific capability area.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between $88,000 and $163,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
