What you’ll be doing...

The Executive Director will have global responsibility for Verizon Business Group’s (VBG’s) Advanced Communications products. This includes, but is not limited to, Unified Communications products, Contact Center as a Service products, VoIP Connectivity products, and Voice API products. This role will also oversee VBG’s core voice services, including long distance, toll free, and local voice services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of experienced product managers in developing innovative business communication services and managing product life cycles end-to-end, including market opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, product strategy, business case, capability roadmap, customer experience, operational excellence, and sales enablement and support
  • Define and drive the strategic direction and competitive positioning of the products across multiple sales channels and customer segments, including global and public sector markets
  • Prioritize initiatives and allocate investment of capital and expenses to maximize impact
  • Drive product development initiatives to launch on-time and within budget
  • Establish and execute go-to-market plans and drive post-launch activity to ensure revenue forecasts are achieved; deliver a clear segmentation strategy for the portfolio
  • Grow business communications revenue and profitability to positively impact shareholder value
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics on a monthly basis and forecast product revenues
  • Ensure winning customer value propositions and exceptional customer experiences end-to-end
  • Stakeholder and align with other VBG product teams to support the development of scalable customer solutions – these teams include other “above the network” product teams (such as Security and SaaS), Wireless and Wireline connectivity product teams, and Platform product teams

What we’re looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent industry experience – a combination of engineering/technical and MBA education highly desired
  • 10+ years of work experience, with 5+ years of product management experience in B2B products or services
  • People management experience
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of IP Communications, Unified Communication and Collaboration Services, and Contact Center Services
  • Strong understanding of mobility business solutions
  • Deep understanding of the competitive marketplace for Business Communications globally
  • Proven track record of launching business products/capabilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to drive, lead, and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong strategic perspective and customer focus
  • Experience managing across multiple technology and GTM partners, including Cisco, Microsoft, RingCentral, Genesys, and NICE CXOne
  • Outstanding financial acumen, with a balanced blend of business and technical savvy
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills, with demonstrated experience communicating to senior leadership stakeholders

This role can be located in other valid Verizon locations.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between $203,000 and $378,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
