What you’ll be doing...

As a member of the Invoice Validation team, the Senior Analyst must be able to manage workload, tools and systems simultaneously. Meeting organizational goals depends on this person’s ability to organize, create, communicate, and facilitate activities that allow the company to deliver on its commitments. The Senior Analyst will also handle invoice disputes which have a material financial impact to Verizon from a margin and cash flow perspective.

  • Performing monthly audits on payments, reconciliations, and accruals and reporting analysis to manager.
  • Executing canned queries against large volumes of billing data.
  • Identifying possible erroneous billing elements/volumes based primarily off tariff/contract interpretation, automated matches to internal or industry data, or detailed calculations performed within the audit logic.
  • Understanding the logic of the query/audits and the underlying FCC rules that apply.
  • Notifying and resolving disputes with Verizon’s vendors, and providing the explanation and supporting documentation for filed claims.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll be detail-oriented and analytical, enjoying getting to the root cause of issues. Working with others on continuous operational improvement will be a key driver for you to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and ultimately deliver a seamless process for the customer. You’ll also have strong verbal and written communication skills.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of accounting or relevant work experience.
  • Experience with technical telecom, call flows, contracts and tariffs.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Computer Science.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
  • Experience with data reporting tools for research and analysis utilized in auditing Telco invoices.
