What you’ll be doing...

The SMB Product Specialist (SMB PS) will serve as a subject-matter expert on assigned products within the Verizon Connect (VZC) portfolio; both current and future. The SMB PS will be used for introductions, training and demonstrations at product launch and through adoption periods and will be the subject matter expert (SME) within their respective sales center(s). You will drive sales results during the opportunity development stage with SMB BDR’s as well as during the demonstration and closing stages with SMB Sales Partners (Closers).

  • Drive additional participation and adoption of product sales by working with sales leaders (AD’s and MP’s) to identify outliers and non-performers, best practices and competitive advantages.
  • Maintain reporting, identify opportunities for improvements and work to drive revenue through development and execution of training opportunities, soft skills practice, side by side selling, observations and other general confidence building exercises.
  • Provide portfolio product, market and competitive feedback to the Product, Marketing and Finance teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Marketing on upcoming releases, FAB’s, competitive awareness, and more.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Customer-facing portfolio product knowledge and demonstration experience.
  • Strong technical and SaaS product knowledge.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Ability to train, motivate and drive results through change management efforts.
  • Organizational and communication skills, Microsoft and Google Proficient.
  • Ability to create and deliver content with plans to measure success post training.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a dynamic selling environment and the ability to establish sales credibility with SMB sales team and leaders.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and drive results in a team environment.
  • Prior experience as a Product Specialist.

External candidates for this role may be eligible for up to a $5000 sign-on bonus, paid after your start date and subject to the terms and conditions of the bonus agreement.
