What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Ireland Sourcing Team is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships across the enterprise to achieve best total value. The Business Operations Team supports all the activities which make the Sourcing team successful.

The Strategic Source Spend Analysis role will be responsible providing analysis and analytical consulting services to the strategic sourcing organisation in Verizon Sourcing Ireland, coordinating with Category Sourcing teams and Business Operations to provide data driven insights across Billions of dollars in spend and across multiple operational business processes. You will be a dynamic professional and team player with a transformational approach, with knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to bring significant data driven insights to the Business.

  • Work with Category Sourcing Experts to spec, design, build, and support category and supplier reporting models.
  • Work with Verizon IT to develop and evolve the strategic sourcing reporting functions and capabilities through providing inputs into development programme and supporting testing of delivered features.
  • Work with the Business Operations to develop operational reporting models and scorecards to manage and control the Strategic Sourcing operational and Audit activities.
  • Collect and share sourcing taxonomy categories with the relevant teams.
  • Ensure the highest level of accuracy across all engagement with supported teams.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in QlikView/QlikSense development.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in Six Sigma.
  • Proven track record working with large volume Sourcing and Category spend data.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience working in a cross functional, virtual team environment.
  • Worked with multiple ERPs / SAP.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced matrixed global environment.
  • Experinece withExcel with advanced skills prefeared.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, and Word) and Google docs.
