What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is undergoing a transformation from a telecommunications company to a technology company, and we are in search of the next generation of Technical Product Managers to help us drive forward. One such product is the Verizon Cloud consumer product – a backup and storage for your phone (photos, videos, contacts, etc.)

As a Technical product manager, you will be playing a key role in maintaining the operational integrity of the platforms supporting the Verizon Cloud service as well as designing and providing requirements for new features and services. This role will require a strong understanding of storage technologies and security for a storage product.

This role will require working closely with the Commercial/business team to align on the roadmap and translating business requirements into a product or feature. The TPM will also work closely with the vendor and Verizon infrastructure engineering teams to deliver and launch feature sets, maintain and troubleshoot production systems, and coordinating all security and compliance practices for the VZ Cloud products and services.

Apart from execution, the TPM will also be responsible for overall performance excellence. Driving the various platform owners toward innovations to improve customer experiences while maintaining and improving baseline KPI.

  • Work closely with business team to align on performance road mapping and backend server development to support feature deployments.
  • Define goals and conditions for trials and VZ Cloud performance based monitoring and testing.
  • Manage high compute storage arrays toward technical performance excellence as well as coordinating, scheduling, and remediating all security and compliance initiatives.
  • Work with development teams and vendors to manage products from concept to delivery.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships at multiple levels within the company, including commercial, engineering, marketing, sales, and services.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or years of experience working on mobile/web/ and desktop technologies/applications.

Even better if you have:

  • Two or years of Privacy Impact Assessment guidelines with previous platform and service implementation experience.
  • Three or more years of previous Cloud Infrastructure and Software Defined Networks experience.
  • Experience in developing and improving mobile applications.
  • Experience with managing high availability and low latency systems.
  • Knowledge of Jira ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies, including Product Owner are highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate and interact across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% or less.
