What you’ll be doing...

The newly formed Platforms and Ecosystems division (P&E) within VCG will develop and execute VCG-as-a-Platform (VCG-aaP) strategy to enable business model expansion and operating model transformation. The Strategy & Business Architecture function of the P&E team will bring new strategic capabilities to VCG by shaping the long-term vision for platform aspirations, including the development of the vision, strategy, business architecture and business blueprint such that it underpins the overall VCG strategy. This team will collaborate closely with senior leadership across Verizon in developing an E2E business platform architecture that supports VCG’s ambitions and in shaping strategic decisions and providing guidance for future investments.

As part of Platforms & Ecosystems, the “Manager, AI & Data Product Strategy” is responsible for developing short term and long term AI & data product strategy and capabilities that align with the future needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a vision for AI & data products that is aligned with and enables the business strategy and outcomes.
  • Identify AI and data product opportunities and requirements for VCG and develop strategies that will drive value at-scale.
  • Define and scope the AI use cases and data product capabilities identified, develop the investment case and build the capability in partnership with Core Build organization.
  • Partner with Business Architecture teams to ensure capabilities developed are adhering to the Business Architecture
  • Build relationships with business and technology partners to ensure alignment of strategy and drive collaboration to implement/ develop capabilities
  • Conduct relevant research to bring awareness of disruptive trends and industry activity that will influence the development of AI and Data products
  • Prepare and execute regular strategy updates to senior management.
  • Ensure roadmap and adoption plans are directly in line with business strategy and priorities

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree orfouror more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in developing AI and data product capabilities and strategy.
  • Experience with data and analytics strategy.

Even better if you have:

  • Five or more years of experience in strategy, consulting, business transformation, product management/ technology management.
  • Professional degrees with a combination of business and technical domain expertise.
  • Experience in a large, complex organization with service offerings in the U.S.
  • Experience across multiple industries and understanding of how technology enables business outcomes and how various parts of a technology ecosystem support business strategy.
  • Business, Technical, Digital, and AI Acumen and understanding the business implications of technological changes.
  • Demonstrated digital capabilities and understanding of the potential of advanced technologies and AI to create new competitive advantages.
  • Experience operating in a complex, changing, dynamic environment.
  • Experience across multiple domains, industries, and geographies to understand the implications of decisions across both VCG and Verizon.
  • Proven ability to build consensus across various domains of the organization, including driving change in both bottom-up and top-down approaches.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under time constraints and deliver results.
