When you join Verizon

Verizon is one of the world’s leading providers of technology and communications services, transforming the way we connect across the globe. We’re a diverse network of people driven by our shared ambition to shape a better future. Here, we have the ability to learn and grow at the speed of technology, and the space to create within every role. Together, we are moving the world forward – and you can too. Dream it. Build it. Do it here.

What you’ll be doing...

The purpose of the Verizon Connect Revenue Operations organization is to maximize profitability while creating great customer and employee experiences by implementing industry leading tools and processes in novel ways. The team is divided into four distinct functions: Systems Architecture, Portfolio Management, Systems Program Management, and Global Standardization.
You will be responsible for representing Sales and Sales Operations on any and all strategic initiatives within Verizon Connect. As Principal Product Owner, you design solutions for Sales, partner with GTS and ePMO, and serve as the Agile Product Owner. You will also responsible for partnering with a dedicated set of Sales and Sales Operations leadership to ensure that their specific requirements are well documented and prioritized with GTS [Business Relationship Management]. Sales and Marketing often adapt their strategies to respond to macro industry changes. These changes must be quickly reflected in systems to maintain their relevance and effectiveness. In these cases, the Principal Product Owner is responsible for ensuring consultation with business leadership to understand any needed modifications to the established plan.

  • Own up to six (6) programs end-to-end from discovery, to project charter, to prioritization, feature identification, user story creation, test script writing, and organization of testing.
  • Partner with ePMO to ensure on time delivery and appropriate stakeholder engagement.
  • Act as a consultant to Sales and Sales Operations leadership around process improvements within CRM and ERP.
  • Ensure that all Sales and Sales Operations action items that originate from external portfolios are accounted for and meet their respective timelines. All projects, programs, and enhancements should have organized executive summaries to empower leadership to make informed decisions.
  • Ensuring that the Verizon Connect implemented processes are compliant within all of the geographies where they’re implemented.
  • Work regularly with the larger Verizon Business Group to bridge gaps between respective sales strategies.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Two or more years of Program management experience.
